2021.10.20 13:57 Luna259 Shared with You in Photos isn’t working in iOS 15
I reported this way back in public beta, but here we are on 15.0.2 and it’s still not working. People have sent me photos in iMessage but the Photos app ignores them unless I manually save them. Only then does it create the Shared with You album and add what I manually saved. But if I’m having to manually save it, doesn’t that kind of defeat the point? How is this supposed to work?

2021.10.20 13:57 topman20000 If getting a college degree is useless in terms of employment requisites for those fields of study, how come universities don’t simply restructure their academics to meet those requisites?
How come both students, faculty and employers alike are OK with a university students investment/subsidy in their education behind defaulted by the fact that the institutions didn’t and wouldn’t teach them the skills necessary to actually BE employed?
We’ve all heard the argument that colleges teach you “how to learn”, “how to research”, or “how to communicate”. But that’s not enough for someone pursuing a specific degree to say that they are qualified for the job.
So why don’t universities simply restructure their respective departments curricula to match the requisite skills necessary for the industries they’re pursuing, and then establish pipelines to industry employers looking for candidates with THOSE skills? I can probably understand why university lecturers and professors wouldn’t be happy with this; because it would be an insult to established academic fundamentals which they have passed on in some cases from many generations during their tenures. And I can understand why industry employers might not be interested in this, because their focus is on simply doing the job with the workers with the skills already in hand.…
But why are even students all right with things being the way they are? They want to invest in their education, even if they have to take out a loan, and in making that choice they want to pay that loan back in a job related to their major and providing reasonable wages. Why would they not be motivated to compel universities to do this? The funding for their departments gets cut consistently at the rate of inflation, Most likely because the major which they are pursuing seem either in demand or altogether useless. So why not affect a change in the curriculum to establish both the importance of their skill sets for their industries, as well as the availability of the graduates who obtain them.
Other fields do it all the time. Business, psychology, medicine, trade crafts, Law. The skills they teach adapt to the changes in industry standards and requisites, And when the students receive their certifications, they are out-the-door capable of learning any other job specifics to translate to the broader topic of their chosen professions. A welder with his fourG/3G certifications has the capability of learning any other job specifics such as unique process, and other positions as well as other base metals. A psychologist has the capacity to specialize in animal or child psychology, or even in something like military psychology. A lawyer who passes the bar has the ability to specialize in domestic law, criminal defense, trademark laws, employment law or even notary law. And each of these industries have standards which can be much more easily met by The students upon graduation.
So why not for other industries which do not seem as transferable?

2021.10.20 13:57 ekolis A tab on the award popup to filter to awards that give something to the awarded user (coins, premium, glowy sparkles, etc)
I prefer giving that kind of award because giving an award that's just a little icon feels like a waste of coins... would be nice to be able to filter them so I don't have to click through every award to check what it does!

2021.10.20 13:57 Boring-Revolution171 Employers and nee guys.
Just finished an interview
It boiled down to this
It's a seasonal job that pays $16.50 an hour, works Tuesday-Sunday. Does not include any health benefits. Scheduling is a mystery. No time off for new hires. No professional development.
The interview wrapped up with asking how I'd be able to commit to working this seasonal job for 2 years.
Am I crazy for thinking that's super obnoxious? What commitment are they giving me.

2021.10.20 13:57 BigAd4784 When should I expect to find out my final grade
I’m a freshman and I had one professor who said she may or may not curve our grades. So far I’ve heard nothing about her curving the grades, so I’m assuming that she’s not going to. Is there any chance that she still might curve the grade?

2021.10.20 13:57 Chris-t-fire Divorce & Mortgage Help
My parents are getting divorced. They've been together for over 20 years and apparently we need my dad to accept for us to sell the home.
Is this true?
Also, the mortgage was refinanced under my name so I own 1% of the home and my mom owns 49.5%.
Are we able to overrule that and list the home for sale regardless as we both own 50.5%?
We really need this house sold and my dad is refusing to list it.
Any advice would be amazing thank you.
